Description:

This butterfly is very variable in appearance, having several forms and subspecies.
The eggs are laid singly or in small numbers on many, mostly wild, crucifers It pupates on a stalk and overwinters in this stage. The Green-veined White has several broods a year, the number depending on the geographical location and altitude of the flight area, and the length of the summer.
