The butterflies often settle in the top of the trees to rest or bask in the sun, with its wings wide open, just like the Hungarian Glider (N. rivularis). This butterfly has a characteristic flight, elegantly gliding from perch to perch.
The caterpillars feed on Spring Pea (Lathyrus vernus) and Black Pea (L. niger).
