Dark Grayling
Description:
The Dark Grayling occurs on dry, rocky slopes with patches of low vegetation and scattered bushes, and also in open coniferous woodland. The butterflies often settle on bare ground, and can also be seen drinking nectar from large thistle-like plants.
Grasses are used as food plants, but it is not known which species.
The Dark Grayling has one brood a year.
