Eastern Pale Clouded Yellow

Description:
The Eastern Pale Clouded Yellow is a very mobile species and can therefore be seen in all sorts of places. Lucerne (Medicago sativa) is its most important larval food plant and they are at their most numerous in areas where this is grown.
The caterpillars can also be found on other leguminous plants.
This species has several generations a year, three to five have been reported from Bulgaria and Romania. It hibernates as a chrysalis.
