Millet Skipper
Description:
The Millet Skipper can be seen on dry, grassy vegetation along the coast, in dried-up riverbeds, on rocky slopes, and also where grain is grown.
The butterflies have a very rapid flight, close to the ground, and often migrate to new areas.
In North Africa, the caterpillars use Common Millet (Paniceum miliaceum) as food plant, but which plants are used in Europe is not known.
Millet skippers are probably double-brooded.
