Ripart's Anomalous Blue
Description:
Ripart's Anomalous Blue is mostly found on dry, grassy places with bushes.
Different sainfoins are used as food plant, such as Sainfoin (Onobrychis viciifolia), O. arenaria, Rock Sainfoin (O. saxatilis), and O. alba. The female lays her eggs on the flowers. The caterpillars hibernate when still small. They are often attended by ants.
The Ripart's Anomalous Blue has one generation a year.
