Grecian Grayling
Description:
The Grecian Grayling occurs mainly on calcareous slopes with grassy vegetation, and on rocky slopes. The butterflies fly close to the ground. When at rest on the ground with their wings closed, they are hardly noticeable.
The caterpillars feed on various grasses. This species is single-brooded.
Habitat:
Dry calcareous grasslands
Inland cliffs and exposed rocks
