Eastern Short-tailed Blue

Description:
The Eastern Short-tailed Blue occurs in clearings in deciduous woodland, and on flower-rich, grassy vegetation with scattered bushes.
The caterpillars feed on the flowerheads of Black Medick (Medicago lupulina), and Lucerne (M. sativa). The Eastern Short-tailed Blue has three generations a year and hibernates as a caterpillar.
