Twin-spot Fritillary

Description:
The Twin-spot Fritillary can be found in flower-rich grassland, situated in the shelter of a woodland edge, or in scattered bushes. The most important food plant is Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria), although different species of Dorycnium, a leguminous plant, are named as a food plant in Spain.
It is single-brooded, and passes the winter in the egg or caterpillar stage.
