Oriental Meadow Brown

Description:
The Oriental Meadow Brown is a butterfly of warm, dry places. They can be found on dry grasslands with scattered bushes, or dry scrub vegetation, and in light woodland. At rest, their wings are almost always closed. They have a rapid flight, often keeping to the shadow cast by trees or bushes. Grasses, such as meadow-grasses (Poa spp.) and fescues (Festuca spp.) are used as food plants.
It has one generation a year and hibernates in the larval stage.
