Description:
The Danube Clouded Yellow occurs in dry, warm grassland where its food plant, the broom Chamaecytisus ratisbonensis is always abundant. However, the amount of shelter from bushes can vary considerably. The female lays her eggs on the food plant, the caterpillars hibernate in the litter layer. It has two to three broods a year.
